The ‘A Tree is Life’ project is an initiative promoted by the Spanish Timber Foundation, whose main aim is to promote the tree and wood culture amongst the Spanish, working in collaboration with public administration and the private sector.

The objective of the project, which has been declared by the government as an event of exceptional public interest, is to develop woodland in order to generate savings in Spain’s pollution allowance, fix CO2 and promote growth in wood.

Within the organisation of the forum Territorio & Marketing (sponsored by Future Brand, FCC Servicios Ciudadanos and Ecoembes), the Spanish Timber Foundation has received the Territorio & Marketing Sustainability Award 2013 for its campaign using traditional means of communication and the internet.

The ‘A Tree is Life’ project has also been awarded the Korazza Award for the Best Communication Campaign in 2013 within the world of associations.
